You Tube

My students were acting out a favorite You Tube clip today. When I was telling Chris about it, he new exactly which one it was and helped me find it:

"I threw it on the ground"

The have a pretty good sense of humor... although I am not going to let them act it out anymore due to the cuss word and the "taser" incident at the end... :) It's interesting when my kids and I think the same things are funny. Does that mean that they are really mature, or does it mean that Chris and I are really immature? hmmm...

NYC

I know everyone is probably sick of hearing about how much I love my new school, but I have more great news! Our school is involved with a program called expeditionary learning. It is a great program that really gets kids excited about what they are learning. If you want to know more about it, I will fill you in.

Anyway... my principal asked me if I wanted to go to a national training next week... in New York City! I am so excited! Now I know that my friends who work for big companies think that me getting excited to go to a training makes me a huge dork, but this is HUGE for me! Teachers never ever get to travel. They are paying for my hotel and air... they don't even pay for my dry erase markers or construction paper! SCORE!

I don't know if I am more exited to go to New York for the first time ever... or that I work for a school who values their teachers.

Now I am going to go figure out how I am getting from the airport to the hotel..... this should be interesting ;)
