Glimpse into a night at the Dawson's

Chris is currently dancing to Tech N9ne in our apartment.  He pauses every time they say KCMO... as if he is from there.

Chris:  "Remember when Tech N9ne came to Manhattan?"
Me: "No"
Chris: (while ghetto dancing) "I couldn't go because I was a pledge.  It was at Silverados.  It would have been awesome."
Me: "You would have gotten your butt kicked"
Chris: "I would have taken JMo."
Me: laughing hysterically
Chris: "I love it when they say 435"

He continues to dance as he does dishes.  What has our life come to?

Summertime

We have been really bad at blogging lately.  We have been BUSY!  First, we had Anna come and visit us during memorial day.  It was an absolute blast and we felt very patriotic being in DC on memorial day.  I will upload pics soon.  Next, I went to Chattanooga to have some much needed "mom time".  Chad was there too, so it was an extra bonus.  Chris stayed here to finish up work for the week.  He did very husband like things such as cleaning my disgusting car (thanks honey ;) and doing laundry...  During the next few weeks, I was wrapping up the school year with my students, complete with 5th grade promotion, bbq's, field trips, and kite making.  It was exhausting, but really fun.  The last day of school was on Friday and we flew out that night for Hannah's (my step-sisters) wedding. It was perfect and so much fun to be home.  It was a quick trip and now we are back!  I am so enjoying my first few days of summer.  Chase and Meghan get here tomorrow and we couldn't be more excited.

So, now that I am done for the summer, I promise to keep everyone much more updated on our crazy life.  Next blog post.... the top ten things teachers love about summer....
